Certified Translation Vendor

Overtaal became a translation partner for SAP AG in 2003. Since its beginnings as a small internal team, the group has gradually expanded and now boasts eleven translators plus a group of freelance translators.

Our efforts for this leading company were rewarded with certification in January 2007 and now again in July 2009, making Overtaal currently the first and only SAP Certified Translation Vendor in the Netherlands. This title remains valid for two years at continuous performance.

Certification is dependent on three criteria:

  • A long-standing relationship with SLS (SAP Language Services), reliability and proven quality in translation services;
  • Keeping strictly to SLS standards in all processes and procedures;
  • Good-quality translations. SAP continually measures translation quality through project evaluations.

A link to Overtaal has been included on a special SAP AG website, so companies looking for a SAP Certified Translation Vendor in the Netherlands will have no trouble finding Overtaal.

i18n and L10n

The translation sector distinguishes between translation, localisation, internationalisation and globalisation. Due to their length, 'internationalisation' is abbreviated to 'i18n' and 'localisation' to 'L10n'. The numbers 18 and 10 represent the number of letters between the first and last letters of each word.
