06.07.2010 Overtaal certified in accordance with NEN-EN 15038 standard
Throughout its history, Overtaal has always focused on quality – of both its products and service. While the ISO standard has existed for a long time, a specific standard for defining and assessing translation services was only recently introduced.
The NEN-EN 15038 standard was developed as a result of the initiative and efforts of the private sector in 28 European countries, a process in which Overtaal itself was indirectly involved.
In Q4 2009, Overtaal approached quality assurance firm Kiwa Nederland for an audit for this new standard, which it carried out on our premises on 11 January 2010.
During the audit, Overtaal’s translation service procedures were scrutinised and compared with the standard’s requirements for service provision in areas such as human resources management, quality assurance, project management and customer relationship management.
Following the audit, which demonstrated that Overtaal’s procedures satisfy all of the criteria, Kiwa Nederland took the decision to certify Overtaal with effect from 15 January 2010. Click here for more information about NEN-EN 15038.
