22.04.08 Nerdic the fastest-growing dialect in Europe

Technological advances often give rise to the emergence of new words. Because old communications jargon is no longer enough, new words are constantly being invented. Often referred to as 'geek speak' or 'nerdic', it is currently the fastest-growing dialect in Europe according to Pixmania, one of Europe's largest electronics retailers. It is estimated that over the past 12 months more than 100 new words have been added to the nerdic vocabulary. Time will tell, of course, whether they will all become permanent additions.
